Last night it rained for the first time in a good long while. This morning, sitting at my desk, the sounds are different… car tires on their way to work peel the water off the street, ravens all a-gossip early, and there are frogs peeping before sunup…frogs in the desert! In February! That will give the rooster something to crow about.
